Sacramento Concrete Recycling Heard of the Tricks of the Trade?
Let me Explain the Trucks of my Trade!
GR Trucking is hands down the number one material transporting company in California, and people are asking why. That seems like a question that would be difficult to answer, but not at all as a matter of fact. Here, we take safety and transportation and we put them together to give our customers a product and service of excellence. We make it a point to make the workings of our company, our clients business. Due to this I feel the need to explain two of our most asked about trucks, as we still have some questions in regards to them.
Side Dump Truck: seems like a simple answer to this description, by referring someone back to the name. But not everything is that cut and dry. A side dump truck is a three axle trailer pulling a two axle semi-trailer. The hydraulics actually tilts the body to the side, either the left or right in order to empty it. The main reason for these trucks is the weight capacity; normally they can hold more weight than a typical dump truck.
Semi-Bottom Dump Truck: these have become increasingly more popular on the jobs where going backwards is needed, while dumping. This is simply because the double and triple trailers cannot. However it is a three axle tractor that pulls a two axle trailer. It also has a type of dump gate on the belly that opens and allows material to be dumped in a line, or row, from the bottom. You tend to see these in use most often times when the smaller side roads are getting redone.
At GR Trucking we offer over ten different types of trucks to our clients. We have hazardous material handling to basic water trucks. We have experienced representatives that are more than welcome to help you decide what you need for your next job, just give us a call at 916-985-2700.
